Indonesian Tsunami
In December 2004, an earth quake in the Indian Ocean produced a powerful Tsunami. The greatest damages occured in Indonesia, near the epicenter.
The Asian Development Bank provided a grant of USD 290 million for its Earthquake and Tsunami Emergency Support Project, ETESP.
The Housing Component was major component of ETESP, with a budget of USD 72 million.
I was Team Leader of Oversight Consultant to take lead of the Housing Component. (Ref.to ADB book "Rebuilding Lives and Homes in Aceh and Nias, Indonesia" , page 76. Download is free).
